The water world was created by a mysterious thunderbolt that split one of the rotating orbs around the Star into two halves. One of these halves, the weaker one, was completely demolished.
The demolished orb was absorbed into the gravity of the intact one but, by then, all of the hydrogen and oxygen atoms living inside of it had settled into a more stable mixture. This supposed stability was the work of the trickster. This demolished orb was no longer weak but drowned its sister until she had as malleable as putty.
