Announcement Mr Miyagi 2007
MAMA's exciting education programme Mr. Miyagi Curating Tomorrow offers young academics and artists who are considering a career as curator the opportunity to compile and produce an exhibition or project. Set up as a fast course curating the contenders are being crammed by an international group of curators and the MAMA staff.
The Mr. Miyagi programme
The aim of the programme is to provide relevant learning opportunities for the new generation that will be occupied with art and culture. At the end of programme the project that will be presented to the world, will showcase the talent of young artists.
This –international- talent will be spotted by the curators at the final presentations at academies throughout The Netherlands and Belgium. So, it will also benefit young artists and continue to address a younger visual arts audience.

The programme offers the following to the selected contenders:

* Participation in intensive workshops led by a panel of international tutors
* Support, advice and guiding by an international panel of tutors and curators
* Support, advice and guiding and practical tips by the MAMA staff.
* Entrance to 'peer-support', including the use of e-learning to communicate and learn from your fellow-participants.
* The possibility to work as a curator and to realize an art-project that will, through the offered insight in daily process and practice in an active contemporary art-institute, have full value in topicality.

So how can I be involved?
